More Flat Food!!

Hi everyone - I had dinner today at Cosi Restaurant - have you ever been to one? I don't think there are many in Florida. It is very good! I had Flatbread Pizza for dinner -- of course you know that was my favorite thing - I love flat foods! I had a busy day today, I went to the Library, but I will tell you more about that tomorrow. It is really nice travelling, some things are very different (like the fact that is is colder here!!) but people seem the same everywhere - they are all nice. Love, Stanley

Florida Oranges

Hi Everyone: Well, I was feeling a little homesick today, so when I saw these Florida oranges, I couldn't help myself. I jumped in! They smelled really good, and I ate one, it tasted very good, too. What would you miss most if you were away from your home for a while? Love, Stanley

December in Connecticut

Hi Everyone! I am not in this picture, because it was taken in December, when there was about 1 foot of snow! I wish I was here then (but I would need lots more clothes -- I would need a heavy coat, and boots and gloves and a hat!!) I think it would be fun to play in this snow, don't you? Love, Stanley

Good Morning!

Hi everyone! It is Thursday morning, and here I am with Rich, the man in the house where I am staying. He is very nice to me. We are standing in the doorway, we just came in from getting today's newspaper. We have to walk down a very very long driveway to get the newspaper. Do you know that in the winter it can snow a LOT in Connecticut. Rich says that when it snows, it is very hard to walk around, and it can be very slippery. I think I would like to see that. Love, Stanley

Eating Dinner

We had burgers for dinner tonight. They were BIG!!!! If I eat like this every day, I won't be flat anymore!!!

Standing in Two States!!

I found out today that Stamford is very close to the border of New York State. From Jupiter, Florida, you would have to get in a car and drive about 300 miles (about 5 hours) to get to the next state, which is Georgia. That would be a long trip! But, in Stamford, we are only 5 minutes from the border to New York State. Because New York and Connecticut (as well as Florida) are all part of the United States, you could drive across the border and not even notice. It's not like the border to another country. This picture is really 3 pictures put together. There is a tall stone post that marks the border between Connecticut and New York. One side is marked CONN for Connecticut, and the other side is marked NY for New York. In the middle part of the picture, I am standing on the border, and I have one foot in Connecticut and one foot in New York. On the left and the right are pictures of the sides of the post, so you can see the labels for the two states. If you tried to have one foot in each of two states from Jupiter, you would have to have legs that are 300 miles long!!!

A new day - Good Morning

Good morning everyone! It's a new day, and I hope to have many new adventures in Stamford today. I thought I'd start out by reading the local newspaper, The Advocate, to see what is going on around here. One important thing that I read in the paper is that the schools in Stamford are closed for spring recess this week. I wonder why different schools close at different times, what do you think? I just had a good idea! When I plan my travel schedule, I think I will always try to find a place where the schools are closed that week. Then I would always be on vacation, and I would never have to study. That would be fun, right? Love, Stanley
